Remote Control Fan Installation

A remote fan control is a very nice accessory to have, all you have to do is install a brain under the canopy hooking the blue wire from the fan to the red wire of the remote brain even if you don’t have a light kit and hook the black wire from the fan to the black wire on the outgoing (load) side of the brain. 

Now on the incoming power (line) side of the brain hook the black wire to the black wire in the ceiling box, hook the two white wires together and then hook the ground wires.

With a remote fan control you are able to turn on the fan from anywhere in the room so that you don’t have to get up to turn the switch on.  You leave the wall switch on all of the time and use the remote to turn your ceiling fan on or off
